Por su excelencia y compromiso con el mejoramiento continuo en los procesos académicos y de investigación, el Ministerio de Educación Nacional ha otorgado la Acreditación de Alta Calidad al Programa de Microbiología que oferta la Universidad Popular del Cesar de manera presencial en el Campus Universitario de la sede Sabanas de Valledupar.
Con la Acreditación en Alta Calidad del Programa de Microbiología aprobada según la Resolución 004927 del 16 de abril de 2024, la Universidad Popular del Cesar está a un paso de cumplir el mínimo obligatorio de programas de pregrados acreditados para iniciar el proceso de acreditación institucional.
Dentro de los aspectos destacados por el Consejo Nacional de Acreditación (CNA) se encuentran: los 24 años de trayectoria del programa, siendo el único ofertado por una Institución de Educación Superior Pública, en la Costra Caribe Colombiana, los más de mil trescientos graduados desde su creación en el año 2000, la formación del cuerpo profesoral y su participación junto a estudiantes en cinco grupos de investigación categorizados por Minciencias, la movilidad nacional e internacional de sus docentes y estudiantes, además del posicionamiento profesional de sus egresados en el plano local, regional, nacional e internacional.
“El otorgamiento de la Acreditación en Alta Calidad del Programa de Microbiologia, es el resultado a un trabajo en equipo donde todos los estamentos universitarios hacen su aporte para seguir posicionando a la Universidad Popular del Cesar como una institución de excelencia, y es un reconocimiento que da fe de que los servicios que se prestan son de alta calidad, puesto que cumplen con los requerimientos exigidos de acuerdo con la normatividad prevista para tal fin, además del prestigio social que esta acreditación reviste para el Alma Máter”, indicó el rector de la universidad Rober Romero Ramírez.
